Before the Day – Planning the Magic
Before we ever press record, we want to get to know you. Your story, your vibe, what makes your relationship tick - and maybe even how you first met (we’ve heard everything from Tinder swipes to missed trains to a shared love of tacos).
We’re more than happy to meet with you in person or jump on FaceTime or Google Meet. It’s super casual - think of it as a chat over coffee, not an interview. This helps us understand who you are so we can tell your story in a way that feels genuinely you.
We’ll also send you a thoughtfully crafted questionnaire that helps us gather all the details we need - from timeline logistics to your must-have moments. This is where we can help fine-tune your schedule too, suggesting tweaks to maximise your coverage and make sure everything flows smoothly.
Essentially, this phase is all about setting you up for success - so when the day arrives, all you have to do is enjoy it. Because honestly, that’s the most important part: you get to enjoy your day.
On the Day – The Calm (and Sometimes Chaotic) Creative Storm
When the big day finally arrives, we’re not just there to film - we’re there to vibe.
During prep and portraits, our approach is super relaxed and calming. We want you to feel comfortable in front of the camera (even if you usually freeze up the second someone points one at you). We’ll give a bit of light direction when needed, crack a few jokes, and generally make it feel like you’re hanging out with friends who happen to have very fancy cameras.
Then, once the day is in full swing, we slip into ninja mode. You’ll probably barely notice us, but we’re everywhere - quietly capturing those moments you might miss: a nervous laugh, a tearful hug, the look your partner gives you when they think no one’s watching. These are the moments that make your story, and we’re always on the lookout for them.
It’s a mix of art, timing, intuition… and a bit of cardio.
After the Day – Where the Real Work Begins
Most couples think the job’s done once the cameras stop rolling - but in reality, that’s when the real work begins.
For every hour we spend filming, there are at least four or five hours spent behind the computer. We comb through hundreds and hundreds of clips to find the best moments that tell your story authentically.
Then comes music selection, which is an art form in itself. We use our Musicbed subscription to find the perfect track that complements your story and enhances the emotion without overpowering it.
After that, it’s time for colour grading - the secret sauce that turns our intentionally flat, log footage (which looks pretty lifeless straight out of camera) into vibrant, cinematic imagery. Every shot is fine-tuned to create a cohesive tone and timeless aesthetic that feels like your wedding.
We also spend time polishing the audio - adjusting levels, removing unwanted background noise, and ensuring that every vow, laugh, and heartfelt speech sounds crystal clear.
Finally, when your film is ready, it’s uploaded to a private, password-protected Vimeo portal, where you can view, download, and relive your wedding day as many times as you like (and trust us - you’ll want to).
