How Much Does Wedding Videography Cost in Brisbane? A Real Breakdown for 2026

If you've started looking into wedding videographers in Brisbane, you've probably noticed the pricing varies a lot - sometimes by thousands of dollars between two videographers who, on the surface, seem to offer pretty similar things. So how much should you actually expect to pay for wedding videography in Brisbane, and what's driving those differences?

We're Nathan and Laura, the husband and wife team behind XIV Creative, and we get asked about pricing more than almost anything else. So here's a genuinely honest breakdown - what the Brisbane market looks like, what affects the cost, and what our own packages include.

What does wedding videography cost in Brisbane?

As of 2026, wedding videography in Brisbane typically falls somewhere between $2,500 and $5,000, depending on hours of coverage, what's included, and the experience of the videographer. That's actually slightly below the national average of around $3,100 for a standard package - Brisbane tends to be a little more accessible than Sydney or Melbourne for the same level of quality.

Within that range, you'll generally find:

  • Around $2,500-$3,000 for shorter coverage (4-6 hours) with a highlight film and ceremony footage

  • Around $3,000-$4,000 for fuller day coverage (8-10 hours), often including speeches, the first dance, and a longer-form film alongside the highlight reel

  • $4,000+ for premium packages, which might include a second videographer, extended editing, or additional deliverables

Where you land in that range comes down to a few key things.

What actually affects the price?

1. Hours of coverage

This is the biggest factor. A videographer covering just your ceremony and a couple of hours of reception will naturally cost less than one capturing your entire day - from getting ready in the morning through to the last song on the dancefloor. More hours means more footage to shoot and more footage to edit.

2. Number of videographers

Some packages include a single videographer, others include two. Two videographers means more angles and more coverage happening simultaneously - useful for capturing both partners getting ready, or catching reactions during speeches that a single videographer might miss.

3. Editing and deliverables

A short highlight film (3-5 minutes) takes less editing time than a full-length documentary-style film of your ceremony and speeches. If a package includes multiple deliverables - a highlight reel, a longer film, social media cuts - that's reflected in the price.

4. Turnaround time

Some videographers take 2-3 months to deliver your films. Others offer faster turnarounds. A quicker turnaround often (though not always) reflects a smaller client list and more dedicated editing time per wedding.

What's included in XIV Creative's packages

We keep our packages straightforward - here's what we currently offer:

Covers the key parts of your day, from final prep through to your reception getting underway. Includes a 1-minute sneak peek delivered within 72 hours of your wedding, highlight film (5-7 minutes) and ceremony/speeches reels.

9-hour package - starting from $3,000

Elopements and custom packages

If you're planning something smaller - an elopement, an intimate ceremony, or a day that doesn't fit neatly into a standard package - get in touch. We're genuinely flexible and happy to put together something that suits your day.

All our packages include the same 4-week turnaround for your full films, so you're not left waiting months to relive your day.

Thinking about photography too? Our photo + video bundle

If you're booking both photography and videography, we've partnered with two photographers we know and trust - Clover Studios and About Time Co - to offer 10% off both your photography and videography packages when you book us together.

A couple of things worth knowing: we don't operate as one combined business, so you'll deal with us and your chosen photographer separately for bookings, communication, and delivery. Our video timelines stay the same as above (4 weeks, with a 72-hour sneak peek), while your photographer's delivery timeline will depend on their own process - it's worth asking them directly when you enquire.

It's a simple way to save a bit on two of the bigger line items in your wedding budget, while having the peace of mind that your vendors will work well together on the day.

Is wedding videography worth it?

We'd say yes - but we're obviously quite biased! What we'd say is this: photos capture moments, but video captures how it felt. The sound of your vows, the way everyone laughed at your best man's speech, the song you picked for your first dance - none of that comes through in a photo. A lot of couples tell us their wedding film is the thing they go back to most in the years afterwards, especially once kids come along and they want to show them "this is the day we got married."

If you're working out where videography fits in your budget, it's worth thinking of it less as an "extra" and more as the one thing that lets you actually relive the day - not just remember it.
